"anyone's any was all to her"

Happy Valentine's Weekend!
I love Valentine's day! but this year I feel like its going to last all weekend!
I don't know why people say they hate this holiday. Ever since elementary school its been my favorite day of the whole year! I LOVE it. Forget Christmas and Halloween!
Here's a poem for you guys by E. E. Cummings. I LOVE this poem its the best love poem that I have read in a really long time! If you want to discuss the meaning of this poem, please do so!

Anyone Lived in a Pretty How Town

by E. E. Cummings
anyone lived in a pretty how town
(with up so floating many bells down)
spring summer autumn winter
he sang his didn't he danced his did

Women and men(both little and small)
cared for anyone not at all
they sowed their isn't they reaped their same
sun moon stars rain

children guessed(but only a few
and down they forgot as up they grew
autumn winter spring summer)
that noone loved him more by more

when by now and tree by leaf
she laughed his joy she cried his grief
bird by snow and stir by still
anyone's any was all to her

someones married their everyones
laughed their cryings and did their dance
(sleep wake hope and then)they
said their nevers they slept their dream

stars rain sun moon
(and only the snow can begin to explain
how children are apt to forget to remember
with up so floating many bells down)

one day anyone died i guess
(and noone stooped to kiss his face)
busy folk buried them side by side
little by little and was by was

all by all and deep by deep
and more by more they dream their sleep
noone and anyone earth by april
wish by spirit and if by yes.

Women and men(both dong and ding)
summer autumn winter spring
reaped their sowing and went their came
sun moon stars rain

  1. Guys hate Valentine's Day because of the Anti-Christ (Walt Disney). His movies along with all those stupid chick flicks that create perfect scenarios with the perfect music and the ridiculously handsome Hollywood movie star saying words that no guy could get away with saying in real life without being eternally mocked are what cause us to hate Valentine's Day.
We can't compete with Patrick Dempsey getting a v.i.p. after hours pass into Tiffany's and telling the women he loves to pick any diamond she wants. Valentine's Day is a mockery of our feeble attempts to do something sweet and maybe a little romantic. It confines us to one day where we are obligated to do something, taking away any spontaneity and feeling completely inadequate because it's not about us as a couple. It's about outdoing the Disney movies and the boyfriends of the roommates, co-workers, and schoolmates that you'll inevitably swap stories with the next day and hoping we get the approval of every lady you tell about us.
